Recent WorkPergola & Deck Construction in Berkeley
A deck and flyover pergola with composite decking, retaining walls and full drainage — no water issues since.

This deck and pergola in Berkeley turned a restricted site into a true outdoor living area. Trademark Construction built the deck, the flyover roof, the retaining walls and the drainage.
The brief
The client wanted a usable outdoor living area. The site made that hard, with limited height and an existing slab restricting roof clearance.
What we built
We built a new deck with a flyover pergola roof. The flyover design adds height at the rear and ties into the existing roofline.
We also installed retaining walls and a full drainage system. Together they manage water flow across the whole site.
Materials and finishes
The deck uses low-maintenance composite decking. H4 timber sleepers and steel posts form the retaining structure.
The challenges we solved
Limited height and site constraints called for a custom roof design. Heavy rain during excavation also slowed progress, so we pumped water out and adjusted the drainage during construction.
The result
The completed space works exactly as intended. Drainage is effective, the outdoor area is comfortable, and the client has had no water issues since completion.
